PLN Enjiniring Receives Two ITAY 2026 Awards
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — PLN Enjiniring has received two awards at the Indonesia Top Achievements of the Year 2026 awards, in recognition of its organisational transformation and contribution to the development of national energy infrastructure. The awards affirm the company’s role in supporting the fulfilment of Indonesia’s electricity needs.
The awards received were Excellence in Engineering Partnership for National Energy Infrastructure 2026 for PLN Enjiniring and Best Transformational Leader in Energy Engineering 2026 for the President Director of PLN Enjiniring, Chairani Rachmatullah.
The President Director of PLN Enjiniring said that the awards were both a recognition and a responsibility to continue to increase the company’s contribution. “These awards are not just a recognition, but a mandate for us to continue to contribute to meeting national electricity needs,” said Chairani in a statement on Thursday (26/2/2026).
Chairani said that the company continues to undergo a transformation that includes strengthening the organisational structure, digitalising work processes, and developing the company culture. PLN Enjiniring is also strengthening the competence of its human resources through capacity building and strategic partnerships. “Because we believe that superior talent is the main foundation for the success of the transformation,” said Chairani.
The ITAY 2026 judging panel assessed that the company plays a role as a strategic engineering partner in supporting the fulfilment of national electricity needs. The assessment was based on organisational transformation, including adjustments to the structure to be more responsive to strategic projects and the implementation of digitalisation in engineering processes.
In addition, the development of human resources is an important aspect in the assessment. PLN Enjiniring is considered to have carried out capacity building through partnerships with educational institutions, global partners, and industry players to strengthen engineering competence.
One of the judging panel members, Prof. Martani Huseini, said that the transformation of the energy sector requires strong leadership and adequate technical competence. “PLN Enjiniring demonstrates both in supporting national development,” said Martani.
The founder of ITAY, Arief Hidayat Thamrin, said that the awards were given to institutions that are able to demonstrate technical excellence while adapting to change. “This award is given to institutions that are not only technically superior, but also able to transform and have a real impact on the sustainability of Indonesia’s energy,” said Arief.
PLN Enjiniring is a subsidiary of PT PLN Persero which operates in the field of electrical engineering and is involved in various national energy infrastructure projects. The ITAY 2026 awards were determined through a selection process by an independent judging panel based on criteria of achievement, innovation, transformation, core competence, and company contribution.
