PLN Energises 240 kVA Connection to Support UKDW Sedayu Hospital Operations
PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Yogyakarta, through PLN Unit Pelaksana Pelayanan Pelanggan (UP3) Sedayu, has energised a medium-voltage electricity connection with a capacity of 240,000 Volt Ampere (VA) for UKDW Sedayu Hospital in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).
The connection was carried out to support the energy needs of the health facility, which requires a reliable and sustainable electricity supply, and is also part of PLN’s contribution to supporting public services during Indonesia’s Independence Month.
General Manager of PLN UID Yogyakarta, Deri Prasetio Utomo, said that the reliability of the electricity supply is one of the key factors in supporting hospital operations that run 24 hours a day.
“Hospitals require a reliable electricity supply because various services and medical equipment must operate without interruption. Through this 240,000 VA connection, PLN wants to ensure that the energy needs of UKDW Sedayu Hospital can be met so that services to the public can run more optimally,” said Deri.
According to him, the Independence Month is also a reminder for PLN to continue providing energy that benefits the community, including supporting public service sectors that play a strategic role.
“The spirit of independence for PLN is the spirit to continue to be present and provide benefits. We are committed to providing reliable, easy and fast electricity to support development and improve the quality of life of the people in Yogyakarta,” Deri concluded.
Meanwhile, Manager of PLN UP3 Sedayu, Andhy Prasetiawan, said that the connection of a medium-voltage customer with a capacity of 240,000 VA is a form of PLN’s support for the development of health facilities in the Sedayu area and its surroundings.
“This connection is part of PLN’s efforts to meet the electricity needs of customers, especially public service facilities that play an important role for the community. We hope that the available electricity supply can support hospital operations optimally,” said Andhy.
He explained that the electricity needs of hospitals have special characteristics because they support various facilities and equipment that must operate continuously, from operating rooms, treatment rooms, laboratories, cooling systems, to medical equipment and other supporting systems.
For this reason, PLN continues to ensure the readiness of the electricity network and infrastructure to maintain supply reliability, including in meeting the needs of medium-voltage customers.
