PLN Energi Gas strengthens energy infrastructure security in Tanjung Batu

PT PLN Energi Gas (PLN EG) is strengthening the security of energy infrastructure in Tanjung Batu, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, through cooperation with the East Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kaltim).

“The reliability of energy infrastructure requires support from various parties. The synergy between PLN Energi Gas and the East Kalimantan Regional Police, particularly the Directorate for Vital Object Security (Ditpamobvit), represents a strategic collaboration in creating a safe and conducive operational environment,” said PLN Energi Gas Director of Operations Mohammad Faradhy in a statement received in Jakarta on Friday.

The commitment was reinforced through the signing of a Technical Work Guideline (PKT) and the implementation of an Analysis and Evaluation (Anev) of Security Services for 2026.

This activity is an important part of ensuring that security implementation within the PLN Energi Gas Tanjung Batu Unit is carried out in a directed, coordinated manner and in accordance with applicable regulations.

Through the PKT, PLN Energi Gas and Ditpamobvit Polda Kaltim are aligning the technical implementation of security, while the Anev serves as a means to evaluate the implementation of security services and identify areas for continuous improvement.

“With stronger coordination, we hope that the security of assets and operational activities in Tanjung Batu can continue to run optimally and support the reliability of energy supply,” he said.

The Tanjung Batu Unit plays a strategic role in supporting the energy supply chain and the reliability of the power generation system.

Therefore, security is one of the important foundations for ensuring that all operational activities can take place safely, smoothly and sustainably.

The synergy established between PLN Energi Gas and Polda Kaltim is part of a shared commitment to creating a safe and conducive operational ecosystem.

This cross-stakeholder collaboration also serves as tangible evidence that the successful management of energy infrastructure requires the joint participation of all parties according to their respective functions and authorities.
