PLN Energi Gas reaffirms commitment to sustainability and empowerment

We believe that corporate sustainability must go hand in hand with environmental and social welfare. PT PLN Energi Gas has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing sustainable corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes that deliver tangible benefits for communities and the environment.

Director General Edwin Bangun stated that the company will continue to integrate CSR initiatives with corporate sustainability principles and support the national energy transition agenda. ‘As an energy company, PLN Energi Gas is not only focused on operational reliability and national energy supply but also actively creating social value through community empowerment, environmental development, education, and strengthening community economies,’ he said.

The company, a subsidiary of PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI), received the TOP CSR Awards 2026 #Star 3 on 25 May 2026 in Jakarta. Bangun explained that the award resulted from the collective efforts of all employees in delivering impactful and sustainable CSR programmes.

‘This recognition motivates us to strengthen our commitment to adaptive, inclusive CSR initiatives that deliver real benefits for communities. We believe corporate sustainability must align with environmental and social welfare,’ he added.

The TOP CSR Awards recognise companies that effectively, strategically, and sustainably implement CSR programmes while supporting ESG principles and national sustainable development. Bangun noted the award demonstrates national recognition of PLN Group’s sustainability transformations and innovations.

Previously, several PLN Group entities have also received CSR and sustainability awards for innovative community and environmental empowerment programmes. ‘Through these achievements, PLN Energi Gas reaffirms its commitment to growing alongside communities, providing reliable energy, and creating sustainable positive impacts for Indonesia,’ Bangun said.
