PLN Electricity Tariffs for September 2026: Unchanged
Electricity tariffs of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) are adjusted every three months. This means September 2026 falls within the third quarter adjustment of this year, together with July and August.
Referring to Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Regulation Number 7 of 2024, there are four factors that influence the rise and fall of electricity tariffs. These are the US dollar exchange rate against the rupiah, the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and/or the benchmark coal price (HBA).
The calculation of the electricity tariff adjustment based on the four factors above is then submitted by the PLN board of directors to the Minister of ESDM. At the latest, the calculation is submitted in the first week of the second month before the implementation of the electricity tariff adjustment.
So, is there any change in electricity tariffs for September 2026? The following is the latest tariff list that needs to be noted.
September 2026 Electricity Tariffs Unchanged
Quoted from the Directorate General of Electricity Press Release Number: 038.Pers/04/SJI/2026, the third quarter electricity tariffs will not increase. The aim is to maintain public purchasing power, support industrial competitiveness, and provide certainty for business actors.
“In order to maintain public purchasing power and support national economic stability, the government has decided that the third quarter 2026 electricity tariffs will remain unchanged or not increase,” explained Minister of ESDM Bahlil Lahadalia in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/6/2026).
The unchanged electricity tariffs apply to 24 subsidised groups and 13 non-subsidised groups.
“The government is committed to providing reliable, affordable, and equitable electricity. This fixed tariff policy is part of efforts to maintain economic stability while ensuring that electricity services remain sustainable,” Bahlil continued.
PLN Electricity Tariff List for September 2026
Viewed from the document titled Determination of Electricity Tariff Adjustment for July-September 2026, the following are the details of September 2026 electricity tariffs for 13 non-subsidised customers:
R-1/TR 900 VA-RTM group: Rp 1,352.00/kWh.
R-1/TR 1,300 VA group: Rp 1,444.70/kWh.
R-1/TR 2,200 VA group: Rp 1,444.70/kWh.
R-2/TR 3,500 VA to 5,500 VA group: Rp 1,699.53/kWh.
R-3/TR,TM 6,600 VA and above group: Rp 1,699.53/kWh.
B-2/TR 6,600 VA to 200 kVA group: Rp 1,444.70/kWh.
B-3/TM, TT above 200 kVA group: Rp 1,114.74/kWh.
I-3/TM above 200 kVA group: Rp 1,114.74/kWh.
I-4/TT 30,000 kVA and above group: Rp 996.74/kWh.
P-1/TR 6,600 VA to 200 kVA group: Rp 1,699.53/kWh.
P-2/TM above 200 kVA group: Rp 1,522.88/kWh.
P-3/TR group: Rp 1,699.53/kWh.
L/TR, TM, TT group: Rp 1,644.52/kWh.
How to Check Electricity Bills on Mobile Phones
For postpaid customers, checking electricity bills is an important matter. Fortunately, this bill check can be done easily on a mobile phone. There are two ways to do this, quoted from the Pegadaian website.
Method 1: via PLN Mobile
Download the PLN Mobile application via the Play Store or App Store.
Register an account if you do not already have one.
After successfully creating an account, log in to PLN Mobile.
Select the ‘Information’ menu.
Click ‘Bill and Electricity Token Information’.
Enter the customer ID number or meter number.
Click ‘Search’.
The monthly electricity bill will appear.
Method 2: via the Official PLN Website
Open the official PLN website, then select the ‘Customer’ menu at the top of the page.
Next, select the ‘Bill and Electricity Token Information’ menu.
For users who do not yet have an account, complete the registration process first.
Enter the requested data, such as full name, mobile phone number, email address, meter number or customer ID, and password. Do not forget to fill in the captcha code, then click ‘Register’.
Check your email inbox to obtain the verification code from PLN.
Enter the verification code in the available field.
After the registration process is successful, log in using the newly created account.
After successfully logging in, information regarding electricity bills for a particular month along with payment history will be displayed on the screen.
