PLN Electricity Tariffs for Households and Businesses in June 2026: Check the List Here
Jakarta, VIVA – Complaints regarding electricity bills feeling increasingly expensive continue to emerge among the public. Many prepaid electricity customers have claimed that electricity tokens are running out faster than in previous years.
This situation has led to the perception that electricity tariffs have increased. Responding to this, PLN, through its official Instagram account, stated that electricity tariffs for several customer groups have not increased and have remained at the same level since 2022.
In the post, the company also explained several factors that can affect the total bill amount or the number of kWh received by customers when purchasing electricity tokens. The following is the list of PLN electricity tariffs, as quoted on Tuesday, 2 June 2026.
Electricity Tariffs Listed by PLN
In the post, PLN listed the electricity tariffs for several customer groups as follows:
Household 900 VA RTM: Rp1,352 per kWh.
Household 1,300 VA to 2,200 VA: Rp1,444.70 per kWh.
Business 6,600 VA to 200 kVA: Rp1,444.70 per kWh.
Household 3,500 VA and above: Rp1,699.53 per kWh.
Business and industry above 200 kVA: Rp1,122 per kWh.
Industry 30,000 kVA and above: Rp996.74 per kWh.
PLN stated that these tariffs remain in effect and have not changed through 2026. However, in addition to the basic electricity tariff, PLN explained that electricity payments consist of several other components for both prepaid and postpaid customers. These components include:
Electricity tariffs according to power category.
Street Lighting Tax (PPJ), the rate of which varies by region.
Value Added Tax (PPN) for certain customer groups.
As an example, PLN listed the PPJ rate in Jakarta at 2.4 per cent for customers up to 2,200 VA, 3 per cent for power between 3,500 VA and 5,500 VA, and 4 per cent for power of 6,600 VA and above.
PLN Electricity Bill Calculation Simulation
In the same post, PLN also provided a simulation for calculating electricity bills. For instance, for a purchase of a Rp200,000 electricity token for a household customer with 2,200 VA capacity in Jakarta, after accounting for the PPJ of 2.4 per cent, the customer will receive approximately 135.1 kWh of electricity.
For postpaid customers with a spending limit of Rp200,000, the electricity usage obtained is around 135.2 kWh after accounting for the electricity tariff and PPJ.
