PLN: Electricity system gradually returning to normal in Situbondo and Bondowoso

PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Situbondo, East Java, has stated that the electricity system in its operational areas, Situbondo and Bondowoso, is gradually returning to normal after several days of rotational blackouts due to load management.

Teguh Budi Oktavianto, Manager of PT PLN UP3 Situbondo, explained that the electricity system in Situbondo and Bondowoso had experienced technical disturbances over the last few days at one of the major power plants. Consequently, PLN implemented load reductions to maintain the overall sustainability and stability of the network.

“Alhamdulillah, since Sunday (21/6) night until today, there has been no more load reduction, as information from the holding company indicates that the large power plant has been synchronised with the system,” he told reporters in Situbondo, East Java, on Monday.

Nevertheless, Teguh noted that field officers from PLN UP3 Situbondo remain on full alert and continue to monitor instructions from the load control centre.

“We express our gratitude for the understanding, support, and cooperation of all customers and stakeholders during the electricity recovery process,” said Teguh.

He added that if disturbances occur in specific locations, customers can report them immediately via the PLN Mobile application, and officers will carry out repairs as quickly as possible.
