Meulaboh — The management of PT PLN UP3 Meulaboh has confirmed that the electrical system recovery process in disaster-affected areas of West Aceh Regency has now been fully completed.

“Alhamdulillah, it is now 100 per cent restored,” said Ahmad Ariansyah, Manager of PT PLN UP3 Meulaboh, West Aceh, to Antara news agency on Tuesday.

He stated that the final recovery point was Sikundo Village, Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency, which was completed in mid-February.

He noted that although the work was hampered by extreme weather and flooding that caused several power poles to collapse on the access route to the remote indigenous community area (KAT) of Sikundo, Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency, the PLN team managed to overcome these obstacles in a short timeframe.

Ahmad Ariansyah stated that the successful electrical recovery in West Aceh Regency was made possible by support from various parties.

“From the local government, the Indonesian military, national police, and local communities around the disaster site, who have worked shoulder-to-shoulder to assist field personnel, particularly when facing difficult terrain,” he said.

Regarding the target for completing the network in Lawet Village, Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh, PLN is committed to finishing it in the near term to ensure all community electricity needs are met properly.

“We are working to complete electrical network construction in Lawet Village in the near term so that community energy needs can be met optimally,” he said.
