PLN deploys 77 personnel and 1,760 kVA mobile substations for NU Congress
PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Jawa Timur has placed 77 personnel on 24-hour standby at several locations, along with four mobile substations (UGB) with a total capacity of 1,760 kVA, to ensure the smooth running of the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress in Jombang, East Java.
“PLN has deployed a multi-layered electricity system supported by personnel, equipment and connectivity infrastructure throughout the entire series of activities,” said General Manager of PLN UID Jawa Timur Eric Rossi Priyo Nugroho in Surabaya, East Java, on Saturday.
In detail, Eric said PLN has implemented a multi-layered security system supported by one subsystem and one main substation as the primary source.
Supply to the event area is reinforced through three feeders, namely the Bahrul Ulum Feeder, Tembelang Feeder and Mojokrapak Feeder.
The main system is complemented by various backup equipment, namely four mobile substations (UGB) with a total capacity of 1,760 kVA.
PLN has also prepared seven generators with a total capacity of 538 kVA, three Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) each with a capacity of 400 kVA, nine Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units with a total capacity of 580 kVA, and one mini mobile SCADA.
Readiness is concentrated at six main locations: Untung Suropati Field at Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, the KH Hasbullah Said Multipurpose Building, the Hall of Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah, the Bahrul Ulum Main Mosque, the Hall of Madrasah Fatah Hasyim Building, and MAN 3 Tambakberas.
“We have prepared all of this to ensure the Congress proceedings run smoothly, safely and solemnly,” said Eric.
Caretaker of Al-Amanah 2 Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School KH Abdul Khaliq Hasan expressed appreciation for PLN’s support in providing electricity supply and connectivity throughout the series of activities.
“We would like to thank PLN for its presence and support in providing reliable electricity and internet connectivity. May this synergy support the success of the entire series of activities and bring blessings to us all,” he said.
