PLN Confirms Electricity in Jakarta Region Fully Restored

PT PLN (Persero) has successfully restored 100% of the electricity system that experienced disruption in parts of the Jakarta region at 10:25 WIB. Haris Andika, Senior Manager of Communication and Public Relations for PLN UID Jakarta Raya, stated that the majority of affected customers had their electricity supply restored by 12:23 WIB, while the remaining approximately 5% were restored by 15:05 WIB. For context, the electricity system in the Jakarta and surrounding areas is supported by 76 substations, of which 13 were temporarily impacted by the power supply disruption. “PLN continues to strive to strengthen the reliability of the electricity system and extends an apology for the inconvenience caused,” explained Haris Andika in a press release on Thursday evening (23/4/2026). Executive Vice President of Corporate Communication and TJSL for PT PLN (Persero), Gregorius Adi Trianto, elaborated that the disruption in parts of Jakarta at 10:25 WIB was due to a technical issue in the electricity system. To date, personnel are investigating the root cause of the disruption. “In monitoring reliability across all business processes, PLN ensures that the current condition is normal, including the readiness of sufficient primary energy supply,” emphasised Gregorius.
