PLN Conducts Intensive Handling to Restore Electricity in Jakarta

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT PLN (Persero) is conducting intensive handling to restore the entire electrical system that caused power outages in several areas of Jakarta. “Our technical team is currently carrying out intensive handling to restore the overall electrical system,” said Senior Manager of Communication and Public Relations for PLN’s Jakarta Raya Distribution Main Unit, Haris Andika, when contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta on Thursday. Haris stated that PLN is moving to recover the electrical system from the disruption that occurred in parts of Jakarta since 10:25 WIB. Gradually, he continued, PLN is carrying out the normalisation process for electricity supply, both in the control system and in the field since the disruption first occurred. “Parallel to the recovery process, PLN is tracing the source of the disruption that occurred,” said Haris. “At this time, all personnel remain on standby and are striving to ensure that the electricity supply returns to normal as soon as possible,” he added. PLN will provide information on the progress of the electrical system recovery periodically through the PLN Mobile application and PLN Contact Center 123. The statement responds to the power outage that occurred in several areas of Jakarta, including offices, on Thursday, as complained about by residents on social media.
