PT PLN (Persero) has revealed that the supply of coal for the national power plants is monitored to be in a safe condition. At least until April 2026, the Days of Operation (HOP) for national coal stocks is recorded at 15.90 days of operation.

PLN’s President Director Darmawan Prasodjo explained that this achievement indicates that the coal supply for PLN’s power plants is in a safe condition.

“Until April 2026, the days of operation for national coal stocks is maintained at 15.9 days of operation, and this reflects a safe coal supply condition,” Darmawan stated during a Working Meeting with Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Monday (13/4/2026).

Therefore, he also appreciated the support provided by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) following the recent increase in coal HOP.

“For this, we also appreciate the support from the Ministry of ESDM so that the coal HOP trend continues to show improvement, and this is certainly to strengthen the reliability of the national electricity supply,” he said.

Regionally, coal stock resilience varies considerably. The Kalimantan region records an HOP of 22.47 days. Sumatra is at 16.23 days. For the Sulawesi area, the HOP is recorded at 13.12 days.

In the Java, Madura, and Bali (Jamali) region, the HOP is at 10.31 days. Meanwhile, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara (NTB-NTT) record an HOP of 14.59 days.

In eastern Indonesia, supply resilience appears higher. Ternate and Tidore record an HOP of 27.28 days, while Jayapura has the highest at 47.95 days of operation.
