PLN Appoints ESDM Secretary General Ahmad Erani Yustika as Company Commissioner

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or PLN has officially appointed Ahmad Erani Yustika as a Company Commissioner. This decision is in accordance with the Copy of the Shareholders’ Decision or Company Facts of the State-Owned Enterprise PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara Number: 243 of 2026 and Number: SK.084/DI-DAM/DO/2026 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the Board of Commissioners of the State-Owned Enterprise PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara.

Ahmad will replace Dadan Kusdiana, who has been honourably dismissed from his position as commissioner.

Quoting the disclosure of information from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the appointment of Ahmad Erani as commissioner took place on 24 April 2026.

“There is no material impact on the Company from the aforementioned information. The Company will continue to conduct its business activities while always adhering to the principles of compliance with applicable laws and regulations and good corporate governance,” stated Yuliandra Syahrial Nurdin, quoted on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

The composition of the Company’s Board of Commissioners is as follows:

Profile of Ahmad Erani Yustika

Previously, Ahmad Erani Yustika had been appointed as Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), as stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 147/TPA of 2025.

Quoting his personal website, Erani was born in Ponorogo in 1973. He completed his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Economics and Development Studies (IESP) at the Faculty of Economics, Brawijaya University, in 1996.

After graduating, he actively published articles in various mass media. At least around 750 articles have been published in national newspapers or magazines as well as scientific journals, and he has authored around 30 books.

In 2001, he completed his postgraduate studies (MSc) and in 2005 finished his doctoral studies (PhD), both at the University of Göttingen (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen), Germany, through GTZ and DAAD scholarships, specialising in Institutional Economics.

Furthermore, starting from 1 June 2010, he was appointed as Professor of Institutional Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Brawijaya University. From 2011 to 2017, he served as a member of the National Board of FITRA (Indonesia Forum for Budget Transparency).

In 2015, he entered government as Director General of Village Development and Community Empowerment (PPMD), and from 2017 to 2018 as Director General of Rural Area Development (PKP), Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions Development and Transmigration. From 2018 to 2019, he served as Special Staff to the President in the economic field.

Most recently, since January 2025 until now, Ahmad Erani has also served as Secretary of the Task Force for Accelerating Downstreaming and National Energy Resilience in the era of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration.
