PLN: Angke Area in West Jakarta Still Affected by Power Outage
Several areas in Jakarta are experiencing power outages due to disruptions. Currently, electricity in the Angke area, West Jakarta, is still out.
Senior Manager of Communication and Public Affairs for PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Haris Andika, revealed that there is a disruption in electricity supply originating from several substations. PLN is currently carrying out gradual normalisation.
“A disruption in electricity supply has occurred in several areas of Jakarta originating from several Substations (GI). Currently, the areas still affected by the outage are the Angke region and its surroundings. PLN is undertaking gradual normalisation efforts,” Haris stated in his comments on Thursday (9/4/2026).
Haris explained that the public can report complaints if they experience electricity issues. He stated that complaints and reports can be submitted through the 123 service and the PLN Mobile app.
“Customer complaints and reports can be submitted through the PLN Mobile app and PLN Contact Centre 123,” he added.
There is no information yet on how long the outage will last. However, he said that normalisation has reached 50%.
“Progress is already at 50%,” he said.
Previously, electricity in several areas of Jakarta was out. The power outage occurred due to an ongoing disruption.
PLN Unit Induk Distribusi Jakarta Raya (UID Jaya/Disjaya) confirmed that a gradual outage is taking place. Now, PLN is carrying out normalisation.
“It is true that there is a disruption and it is gradual, with normalisation efforts underway,” said Manager of Communication for PLN UID Jaya/Disjaya, Intan Nugrahani, when contacted on Thursday (9/4/2026).
