PLN and DPR
PLN and DPR
From Media Indonesia
In relation to the article published in Media Indonesia on
Jan. 25, 1995 under the title 'Dirut PLN Dinilai Abaikan Pimpinan
Komisi VI DPR' (PLN president is said to have ignored the head of
the House Commission VI), we give the following explanation.
1. The Board of Directors of PT PLN (State-owned Electricity
Company) and all its offices highly respect the leaders and
members of the House of Representatives (DPR). Therefore, it is
impossible for us to ignore the head of the Commission VI, as
reported.
2. In this context, the president of PLN, who was out of town
on Jan. 24, 1995 (Yogyakarta and Semarang, Central Java) has
apologized to the head of the Commission VI for the
misunderstanding that occurred.
3. Our problems were that we had just moved to our new
premises and the telephones were not functioning properly. The
staff in the secretariat were also engaged in putting everything
in order.
4. We have reported the matter to the head of Commission VI
and apologized.
5. PLN and the House Commission VI deplored the report.
We hope this clarifies the matter.
