PLN Aceh Ensures Electricity Networks in Disaster-Affected Villages Restored
Banda Aceh – PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Aceh has confirmed that all electrical networks in villages and hamlets across the province affected by disasters in late November 2025 have been restored.
“Currently, the electrical network repairs and restoration following the disaster have been completed. Electricity supply to villages is now normalised across the board,” said General Manager of PLN UID Aceh Eddi Saputra in Banda Aceh on Tuesday.
He noted that electrical networks damaged by flooding and landslides in late November 2025 were spread across 6,500 villages and hamlets.
As of 8 March 2026, according to Eddi, all villages that remain habitable and whose residents have not been relocated now have electricity restored.
“Alhamdulillah, all are now powered. Our field teams continue to work at maximum capacity to provide the best service to communities, especially those affected by the disaster,” he said.
He added that in accelerating post-disaster recovery efforts, PLN has collaborated with regional authorities and disaster management agencies (BPBD), the military and police, district and village officials, volunteers, and local communities.
According to him, such collaboration is critical for reopening road access, clearing affected areas, and securing recovery sites.
“We are grateful for the support from all elements in the field, enabling communities to once again enjoy electricity comfortably and reliably,” he said.
