PT PLN (Persero) has officially established a new composition for its board of directors during the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) held at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) office in Jakarta on Thursday evening, 18 June 2026. In the decision, shareholders made several changes to the company’s leadership structure, including adding a new position at the board level, namely Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Despite the organisational refresh, the position of PLN Chief Executive Officer remains entrusted to Darmawan Prasodjo, who will continue his leadership in overseeing the transformation of Indonesia’s largest electricity company. Meanwhile, the newly created Deputy Chief Executive Officer position is filled by Yusuf Didi Setiarto. PLN explained that the changes to the board composition are part of measures to strengthen corporate governance as well as efforts to accelerate corporate transformation amidst the continuously evolving challenges of the energy sector. According to the company, this new structure is expected to bolster PLN’s performance in carrying out its mandate of national electricity provision while supporting the energy sector development targets. Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and TJSL PLN, Gregorius Adi Trianto, expressed appreciation to the board members who have completed their terms of service. He stated that the contributions of the previous directors played an important role in driving the company’s transformation, strengthening corporate performance, improving customer service quality, and supporting the national energy transition agenda.
