Plaza hosts Russian farm trip in Yogya

YOGYAKARTA: In a bid to showcase Yogyakarta as a city
of art and culture, Jogjakarta Plaza hotel on Jl. Gejayan
recently hosted a farm trip promoted by Bayu Buana Travel,
Bali, held for some 24 delegates representing Russia's
leading travel agencies.

During the trip, the delegates were invited to enjoy a
dinner reception at the hotel and sightseeing
around and inside the hotel to observe both the
facilities and the services provided by the four-star-rated
hotel, which belongs to the Prime Plaza hotel chain.

Greeting the delegates, Jogjakarta Plaza executive
assistant manager Dodhy Achadiyat said that the hotel
had routinely held such dinner receptions for potential
buyers from abroad as part of its efforts to introduce
the city's tourist attractions.

"We want them to realize that Yogyakarta is a secure
place to visit and is as attractive and beautiful as
Bali," said Dodhy, adding that Yogyakarta offered
a variety of attractions for both leisure and business
