KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters): Four players and officials from the state of Kelantan have been banned for a year by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) after they were found guilty of violence against a referee at a recent tournament.
According to the FAM's official website, Mohd Farrid Rizal Ismail and Ahmad Syiham Mohamad and officials Nik Fauzi Hassan and Surial Yaacob, were suspended for 12 months and fined US$800 for attacking a referee at the recent Sukma tournament.
The Kelantan FA was also fined some $6,500.
