The closure of platforms 6, 7, and 8 at Bogor Station takes effect today, Wednesday (15 April 2026). This policy impacts passenger boarding and alighting flows as well as adjustments to KRL journey schedules. VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, stated that the closure is to support the extension works on tracks 6, 7, and 8 at Bogor Station. The project is targeted to last 90 days until completion and ready to support KRL train operations with 12-car formations (SF12). “During the work period starting 15 April 2026, Bogor Commuter Line users boarding and alighting will only be served at platforms for tracks 2-3 and platforms for tracks 4-5,” Karina said in an official statement on Tuesday (14 April 2026). With the closure of platforms for tracks 6, 7, and 8, all passenger services are centralised at platforms for tracks 2 to 5. Additionally, access arrangements for entry and exit (tap in/out) at the west hall will be handled situationally, especially during peak hours to anticipate queues. Passengers from the southern side can also use the Bogor Paledang Station pedestrian overpass (JPO) to reach departure platforms. During the work period, KAI Commuter notes adjustments to 31 Bogor Commuter Line journeys. These changes involve shifts in departure and arrival times of around 2 to 3 minutes from the previous schedules. Nevertheless, most other journeys experience no schedule changes. KAI Commuter describes this track extension project as a strategic step to accommodate surges in user numbers. Bogor Station is currently one of the stations with the highest passenger volume in the Jabodetabek Commuter Line network. On average, there are around 98,000 to 100,000 passengers boarding and alighting daily at the station, including users of Commuter Line and Pangrango train services. KAI Commuter urges users to adjust their travel patterns during the platform closure period, including noting schedule changes and movement flows within the station. Passengers are also asked to follow directions from officers and pay attention to signs and available information. The company expresses apologies for any inconvenience arising and assures that the entire construction process considers aspects of user safety and security.
