JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Platforms 6, 7, and 8 at Bogor Station have been officially closed for 90 days for rail extension works, starting Wednesday (15/4/2026). Kompas.com observations at the site indicate that access normally used to reach the platforms has been blocked with plywood boards upon entering the station entrance. Banners have also been installed in the area containing apologies regarding the ongoing works. During the closure, passengers intending to board trains have been redirected to the pathway typically used as an exit route. At this point, passengers boarding and alighting from trains must use the same pathway. This pathway is approximately two metres wide. On the platforms, only two trains can be seen stopping at tracks 4 and 5. Officers are stationed at several points to help direct passengers. One passenger, Anwar Maulana (29), admitted he is not yet accustomed to the changes. “I’m just not used to it yet. The platforms at Bogor used to be spacious, now there’s narrowing, so it feels less comfortable,” said Anwar on Wednesday. Nevertheless, he supports the platform extension because it is deemed capable of accommodating longer train consists.
