The governance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme has entered a new chapter thanks to the active involvement of creative young people. A group of digital talents in Central Papua has introduced a cutting-edge public oversight platform designed specifically to monitor the effectiveness, budget transparency, and service quality of the MBG programme in Nabire. Marsel Asyerem, Coordinator of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for the Nabire Region, stated that the application, named SIAP-MBG (Sistem Informasi Administrasi dan Pengawasan Makan Bergizi Gratis), is considered capable of ensuring the MBG programme is well-organised and can be directly viewed by the public. “We are optimistic that this original work by Papuan youth truly answers what President Prabowo desires. With the transparency it provides, we ensure that MBG governance will be far better,” he said on Thursday (18/6). Meanwhile, SIAP-MBG Application Developer Azrulah Kainage explained that the application is equipped with a monitoring dashboard based on digital or geospatial mapping. “Through this feature, the public can directly view the planning lists, finances, and distribution locations for MBG,” he clarified. The application, which will soon be launched, is expected to be implemented not only locally but also to serve as a pilot model at the national level.
