Commander of the 4th Marine Infantry Brigade, Marine Colonel Kanang Budi Raharjo, stated that the 2026 Platoon Exchange Joint Exercise (Latma PLATEX) involving the Indonesian Navy Marine Corps and the United States Marine Corps (USMC) aims to strengthen military diplomacy between the two countries.

“Latma PLATEX in Pesawaran Regency has officially concluded. This activity serves as a form of military diplomacy between the two countries,” said Kanang Budi Raharjo in Lampung on Friday.

He said the joint exercise not only serves as a means to improve the technical and tactical capabilities of soldiers, but also strengthens professionalism, discipline, coordination, and cooperation between military elements of both countries.

“The PLATEX 2026 Joint Exercise is a form of military diplomacy and cooperation between the two countries in maintaining regional security stability,” said Kanang in his address at the closing ceremony.

According to him, the interaction and exchange of experiences during the exercise were an important part of building understanding and the ability to work together among the personnel involved.

“The entire series of exercises has been carried out safely and smoothly in accordance with established procedures and has produced satisfactory results,” he said.

Furthermore, the results of the exercise will serve as evaluation material to improve the capabilities and readiness of soldiers in facing future tasks.

“We hope that all soldiers can maintain and improve the capabilities acquired during Latma PLATEX 2026 and apply them in carrying out duties in their respective units,” said Kanang.
