Plantation Holding PTPN III Profit Leaps 81% to Rp6.39 Trillion in 2025
State-owned plantation holding company PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (PTPN III) recorded a consolidated profit of Rp6.39 trillion throughout 2025. This achievement represents an 81.3% leap compared to 2024. “Our 2025 performance was quite good. If we look at the financial performance, almost all financial indicators showed improvement compared to the previous year,” said PTPN III President Director Denaldy Mulino Mauna during a meeting with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on Monday (6/7/2026). He explained that the achievement was driven by rising commodity prices, particularly crude palm oil (CPO), as well as increased productivity across various business lines. Based on the 2025 performance presentation, the Nusantara Plantation Holding posted sales of Rp59.32 trillion, an increase to 109.5% compared to the previous year. In terms of profitability, EBITDA reached Rp15.37 trillion, growing 24.2% year-on-year (YoY). Additionally, the company’s total assets reached Rp158.25 trillion, up approximately 5% year-on-year, while total liabilities were recorded at Rp77.42 trillion, or about 102% compared to the prior period. On the capital side, total equity increased to Rp80.83 trillion, or approximately 108% year-on-year. From a cash flow perspective, the company recorded a Net Operating Cash Flow (NOCF) of Rp13.65 trillion, up 109% YoY. Meanwhile, capital expenditure (capex) was realised at Rp4.09 trillion, or about 72% compared to the previous year. He further elaborated that the profit increase was mainly driven by a surge in CPO selling prices, which was the dominant factor in the performance achievement. Throughout 2025, the actual CPO selling price reached Rp14,222 per kilogram, equivalent to 121% of the RKAP target of Rp11,749 per kilogram. In addition, the selling price of palm kernel oil (PKO) also increased to Rp25,071 per kilogram, or 198% of the RKAP target, thereby supporting the growth in company revenue and profit. “It should be noted that in 2024 there were indeed several things that drove this improvement. The first, of course, if we look at the selling prices of some of our main commodities, they were indeed better compared to the RKAP,” he stated. In terms of sales composition, the palm oil business remained the main contributor with a 75.06% share of the Nusantara Plantation Holding’s total sales. Furthermore, sugar contributed 13%, rubber 7.10%, tea 1.41%, and other crops contributed 3.44% to total revenue. Besides recording financial growth, the Nusantara Plantation Holding also succeeded in increasing the productivity and production volume of several main commodities. For palm oil, productivity reached 4.80 tonnes per hectare, an increase to 104.43% compared to 2024. This increase pushed fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production to 12.261 million tonnes, or 103.90% year-on-year, while CPO production reached 2.692 million tonnes, up 104% year-on-year. In the sugar cane sector, productivity increased to 67.29 tonnes per hectare, or 103.2% year-on-year. Milled sugar cane production reached 14.295 million tonnes, surging 119.36% compared to the previous year, while sugar production rose to 882.55 thousand tonnes, or 103.68% year-on-year. “And sugar production in 2025 was thankfully 3.7% higher compared to production in 2024,” he added. For rubber commodities, productivity reached 1,077 kilogrammes per hectare, an increase of 104.65% year-on-year. However, dry rubber production volume was recorded at 123.38 thousand tonnes, or about 98.23% compared to the 2024 realisation, indicating a slight decline. Meanwhile, tea productivity increased to 2,082 kilogrammes per hectare, or 108.87% year-on-year. However, dry tea production was recorded at 43.19 thousand tonnes, or 95.29% compared to the previous year, thus still experiencing a contraction in volume. Coffee recorded the highest increase in terms of productivity. Coffee productivity reached 350.44 kilogrammes per hectare, up 114.91% year-on-year, with dry coffee production of 2.95 thousand tonnes, or 118.47% compared to the 2024 realisation.
