Plans for 11 new flats still under discussion with DPRD DKI
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo stated that the plan to build 11 low-cost apartment blocks (rusun) in the capital is still under discussion with the DPRD DKI. “Regarding the 11 rusun, the details will be conveyed later. But it is clear that these rusun are indeed in 11 locations. Currently, the process is in the discussion stage with the DPRD,” Pramono said at City Hall on Friday. Pramono promised to immediately convey information on the construction of the 11 rusun once an official decision has been made. “Once it is finalised, I will certainly announce it openly because we are currently waiting for that,” Pramono explained. Meanwhile, Head of the DKI Public Housing and Settlement Areas Agency (DPRKP) Kelik Indriyanto said the construction of the 11 rusun is currently being proposed to the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP). “There is great hope for full support through the 3 million homes programme as a joint portfolio between the central and regional governments,” said Kelik. The 11 rusun are planned to be built in Muara Angke; Marunda cluster C; Komarudin; Rorotan IX; Cakung KM 2; Tongkol phase III; Marunda cluster A; Marunda cluster B; Semper Cakung Drain; Bojong Indah; and Daan Mogot KM 18. “The target occupants for the rusunawa are programmed communities and the general public in accordance with Governor Regulation 111 of 2024,” Kelik added. The DKI Provincial Government plans to build eleven large-capacity rusun in 2027. The construction of these flats is one solution to address the housing needs of residents amidst limited land availability in the capital.
