Plane wreckage found in jungle

BANDA ACEH, Aceh: Plane wreckage was found in a jungle in the
Kejuruan Muda subdistrict in the East Aceh regency by local
residents two weeks ago, a press report said yesterday.

A spokesman for the East Aceh regency administration Sgt. Maj.
Suharso said the authorities are still trying to determine the
type and the identity of the plane's owner.

From the initial description given by the residents, the plane
might be a Cessna belonging to PT Perkebunan III, the state-owned
plantation company based in Medan, North Sumatra.

He said the company's plane has been missing since 1988,
Antara reported.

In the wreckage, the residents found name cards of Onggung
Baringin Siahaan, the president director of the PT Perkebunan
III.

He said the plane is still partially buried. (16)
