PKT Distributes Logistics and Urgent Supplies for NTT Earthquake Victims

PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim), through its PKT Proaktif programme, has distributed Rp100 million in aid to communities affected by the earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). The assistance was received directly by the Regent of Manggarai, Herybertus Geradus Laju Nabit, in Manggarai.

Pupuk Kaltim President Director Rafli Yandra said the support reflects the company’s concern and solidarity with those affected, primarily to help meet basic needs while supporting the post-disaster handling process through concrete action on the ground.

“This support is part of Pupuk Kaltim’s spirit of care through the PKT Proaktif programme, as well as a form of the company’s presence to continue contributing to society. This time we are present in NTT to help our brothers and sisters who have been struck by disaster,” said Rafli.

All assistance was designed with urgent needs in mind, including staple foods, sanitation, nutrition and health needs, and other supporting equipment for evacuation conditions.

For primary staple needs, Pupuk Kaltim distributed 1,390 items consisting of mineral water, rice, granulated sugar, and instant noodles. The aid also includes hundreds of adult and baby sanitation supplies, as urgent necessities for communities whose living conditions have not fully recovered.

In addition, hundreds of packages of nutrition and public health supplies were distributed, including milk for children and the elderly, baby food and complementary feeding biscuits, herbal medicine, telon oil, mosquito protection, and tarpaulins for shelter needs.

“We hope this can help meet the basic food needs of the community, especially those still in emergency conditions and in need of logistical support,” Rafli continued.

Rafli further conveyed that Pupuk Kaltim shares in the sorrow over the earthquake disaster affecting the people of NTT, particularly in Manggarai Regency. He expressed hope that the community would be given strength and fortitude in facing the recovery period, and that the entire disaster handling process would proceed smoothly.
