PKS's 24th Anniversary: Almuzzammil: We Want to Help the Government
JAKARTA - President of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Almuzzammil Yusuf, stated that his party wishes to assist the government amid the current global uncertainties.
In the 2+4 Hour Live Stream marking the peak of PKS’s 24th anniversary, Almuzzammil said that the crises arising from geopolitical conditions require cooperation from all parties.
“This anniversary is different; it has transformed from a mere celebration into a movement. We are facing various problems, both domestic and international. Therefore, we want to help the central government, local governments, and the public to prepare and stay vigilant if this crisis persists,” Almuzzammil said in his official statement on Sunday (26/4/2026).
The commemoration also serves as a momentum to strengthen food, energy, and economic resilience, as promoted by the government.
“The Indonesian government is preparing for food resilience, energy resilience, and economic resilience. With the potential closure of the Strait of Hormuz and rising global oil prices, this will undoubtedly have an impact. Therefore, we are raising these issues as part of our concern,” Almuzzammil said.
Such simple steps, according to Almuzzammil, can become real contributions from cadres in facing potential economic and food crises.
“How can our cadres, even at the local level, have at least household-level food resilience in their respective backyards? This is our anniversary celebration, becoming a real movement for the community,” he said.
From various visits, he concluded that economic issues are the main challenge felt by the public in almost all regions, thus requiring collective and sustainable steps to strengthen national economic resilience.
“This is our anniversary today. May Allah grant us the opportunity to offer the best for the community, the nation, and the country, and to become rahmatan lil ’alamin in line with PKS’s vision,” Almuzzammil said.
