PKS Sikapi Putusan MK Terkait Ijazah Gibran

Kepala Kantor Staf Presiden PKS, Pipin Sopian, has affirmed that the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) respects the Constitutional Court’s (MK) ruling Number 01/PHPU.PRES-XXIV/2026 concerning the educational requirements of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

According to Pipin, the ruling has attracted considerable public attention and should be carefully examined by the House of Representatives (DPR RI) in line with its authority.

“PKS menghormati putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) tentang tidak ditemukannya bukti yang absah dan meyakinkan ijazah Wapres Gibran,” Pipin said in a written statement received by Republika on Thursday (8/10/2026).

He acknowledged that the ruling has drawn wide public interest. He said the DPR, in line with its constitutional functions, could scrutinise the matter and take the necessary steps to strengthen ethics and propriety in social, national and state life, in accordance with prevailing legislation.

Pipin also reminded that the constitution sets high standards of ethics, integrity and constitutional compliance for the President and Vice President.

Article 9 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia affirms the oath of the President and Vice President to uphold the Constitution and to carry out all laws and regulations faithfully and conscientiously.
