PKS Shura Council Assembly Yields Four Strategic Decisions on Global and National Issues
The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) held its Third Majelis Syura Deliberation (MMS) on Saturday and Sunday, 25–26 July 2026, at the PKS Central Executive Board (DPTP) office on Jalan TB Simatupang No. 82, South Jakarta.
The PKS MMS III session was chaired directly by the Chairman of the Majelis Syura, Mohamad Sohibul Iman, and attended by all members of the Majelis Syura representing every province in Indonesia.
PKS President Almuzzammil Yusuf, in a written statement, said that the PKS MMS III produced four decisions in response to various economic, social and political dynamics, both at the global and national levels. In the first decision, PKS affirmed its direction of support for the government’s current economic policies.
“PKS fully supports the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Prabowo Subianto, in implementing national economic policies in accordance with the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Economic policies that deliver justice and prosperity for all the Indonesian people,” Almuzzammil explained, as quoted from a written statement received on Monday (27/7).
Furthermore, Almuzzammil explained that the second MMS decision concerned the mainstreaming of domestic resources based on the sharia economy.
“PKS encourages the Government to promptly build a regulatory and institutional ecosystem to enhance national funding independence through the mainstreaming of domestic resources based on the sharia economy, such as optimising productive waqf and developing the halal industry,” Almuzzammil stated.
Almuzzammil went on to say that the MMS decisions also highlighted various problems facing the nation and invited all elements of society to join hands in resolving them.
“The third MMS decision is PKS’s concern over the increasingly rampant practices of corruption, LGBTQ+, online gambling, illegal online lending (pinjol), and drug abuse in our midst. PKS invites all elements of the nation to work hand in hand to eradicate these destructive practices firmly, in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations,” Almuzzammil continued.
Beyond domestic issues, Almuzzammil also touched upon the party’s official stance on global humanitarian issues, which form part of Indonesia’s constitutional commitment, particularly regarding the Palestinian people’s right to independence.
“As mandated by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia that colonialism must be abolished throughout the world, PKS urges the government, parliament and all components of the nation to be more proactive in fighting for Palestinian independence, including ending all forms of colonisation and genocide of the Palestinian people by Zionist Israel,” Almuzzammil concluded.
