This second edition addressed the theme “War in the Middle East: Impacts and Solutions to Face the Energy Crisis,” featuring speakers such as the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources from 2014-2016, Sudirman Said, Director of Energy Conservation at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Hendra Iswahyudi, and the Chairman of the PKS DPP for Energy, Environment, and Climate Change, Agus Ismail, along with a representative from the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conversion. PKS Secretary-General Muhammad Kholid, in his introductory remarks for the discussion, stated that this theme is special as part of the celebrations for PKS’s 24th anniversary, namely “Empowered Together with the People to Build Indonesia’s Resilience.” “This is not just an anniversary celebration, but it becomes a universal people’s movement to build economic resilience, energy resilience, and food resilience,” Kholid explained in a written statement. Kholid described this discussion forum as PKS’s effort to be part of the solution, providing a way out amid the current energy crisis caused by the war in the Middle East. “PKS is committed to being part of the solution, part of the solution, becoming a part that can provide proposals and a way out in this situation,” he said. Kholid also invited the public to remain optimistic and spirited in providing solutions amid this challenging situation.
