PKS Inaugurates Legal Advocacy House to Provide Legal Aid Services to the Public
The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has officially launched the Legal Advocacy House to assist members of the public who face difficulties in obtaining legal defence. “As a centre for legal aid services, particularly for the underprivileged and those vulnerable or lacking access to justice,” said PKS Secretary General Muhammad Kholid at the PKS National Headquarters in Jakarta on Monday (18/5/2026).
PKS hopes that the Legal Advocacy House will serve as a centre for legal education and literacy. “Sometimes citizens or the public do not realise that their actions have crossed the line and violated the law. This is where we need to provide legal literacy and education,” Kholid stated.
The PKS Legal Advocacy House is also expected to become a centre for strengthening advocacy capacity. “This is not merely a service centre but also a place for regeneration and increasing the capacity of PKS cadres to engage in legal advocacy struggles to achieve justice,” he added.
He noted that this initiative represents a breakthrough and an innovation that was not present in previous periods. Kholid further added that the presence of the PKS Legal Advocacy House aligns with the party’s national mission, expressing hope that PKS can become a pioneer in the service, empowerment, and defence of the interests of the Indonesian people.
