The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), through its Youth Division, held a National Webinar titled ‘Muda Mandiri 2026’ with the theme ‘Financially Independent, Productive, and Ready to Lead’ at the DPTP PKS Hall in Jakarta on Sunday (21/6). The event was attended by hundreds of youths from various regions, showing high enthusiasm for issues of financial independence, productivity, and self-capacity building amid current economic challenges.

Henda Yusaminta, Secretary of the PKS Central Executive Board’s Youth Division, stated that current conditions have created anxiety among young people regarding their financial futures. Therefore, PKS introduced the Muda Mandiri programme as a space for learning and strengthening the capacity of the younger generation. ‘This event is not only for PKS cadres but is also open to the public. We want to open the widest possible opportunity for Indonesian youth to improve their capacity for financial independence and become empowered individuals,’ Henda said in an official statement on Sunday (21/6). He emphasised that the Muda Mandiri movement is expected to produce a generation of young people who can become pioneers, at least within their own family circles, in building financial independence.

Henda further explained that the programme emphasises three key aspects of youth empowerment: mindset, skill set, and tool set. These three elements serve as an essential foundation for young people to achieve financial independence while also preparing them to become future leaders.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Organising Committee, who is also the Head of the PKS Central Executive Board’s Development and Pioneering Department, Izharul Haq, Lc MA, stressed the importance of financial independence as a support for the real contributions of the younger generation to the community and the nation. ‘To be able to contribute maximally to good causes, we need strong financial support. Therefore, we must work, trade, and strive to be economically independent so that our contributions to the community and the nation can be greater and have a broader impact,’ Izharul said. He added that youth, as agents of change, need to be equipped with strong economic capabilities so that their role is not limited to ideas but also includes sustainable real action. ‘How can youth as agents of change also have financial independence? We need to present programmes that can build the financial independence of young people, while also shaping a generation that is productive, creative, and ready to lead the nation,’ he added. This activity is part of a commitment to encourage the empowerment of the younger generation to be more productive, adaptive to the changing times, and prepared to face global economic challenges.
