Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Housing and Human Settlements (PKP) targets the construction of 50 housing units for underprivileged residents in Kalideres Sub-district, West Jakarta.

Field verification officer of the Ministry of PKP, Yoga, stated that the self-help housing stimulus assistance is intended to enhance the quality of homes for communities living in substandard conditions.

“The assistance provided by the Ministry of PKP amounts to Rp20 million per house, in the form of Rp17.5 million for building materials and Rp2.5 million for builders’ wages,” said Yoga in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He added that beneficiaries are required to demonstrate self-reliance and motivation to improve their homes.

“This includes selecting the designated building materials store for supplying the necessary materials in the construction process,” he further explained.

Meanwhile, Kalideres Sub-district Head, Rizky Raya Dwiputra, stated that the socialisation and field verification activity for the self-help housing stimulus assistance from the Ministry of PKP took place at the RW 10 Secretariat in Kalideres Sub-district, West Jakarta, on Wednesday.

The criteria for homes eligible for assistance include being listed in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) of the Ministry of Social Affairs, in deciles 1 (extremely poor) and 2 (poor), as well as Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH).

“The team from the Ministry of PKP conducted field verification. The verification is carried out to determine the locations (houses) to be assisted,” he said.
