PKH Task Force hands over 2.37 million hectares of forest area land to the state
The Forest Area Regulation Task Force (Satgas PKH) has handed over 2.37 million hectares of forest area land that has been successfully reclaimed to the state. This seventh-phase handover was conducted in a relay from Satgas PKH to the Ministry of Finance, then to BPI Danantara and PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara, witnessed directly by President Prabowo Subianto at the Attorney General’s Office building in Jakarta on Wednesday. Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, as Deputy Chair I of the Satgas PKH Directorate, explained in his presentation that since its formation in February 2025 until today, the task force has successfully reclaimed a number of forest area lands from the palm oil plantation sector and the mining sector. From the total reclamation, today the task force is handing back the seventh-phase forest area land measuring 2,373,171.75 hectares. “Satgas PKH today will hand back the forest area land to the relevant ministries/institutions from Satgas PKH to the Ministry of Finance, then to BP Investasi Danantara, and subsequently to PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara,” he stated. He detailed that the millions of hectares of land consist of the revocation of concession permits measuring 733,180.200 hectares from 29 legal entities. Then, the revocation of business permits for forest utilisation measuring 1,045,219 hectares from 22 legal entities. Furthermore, palm oil violations and industrial crop forest areas measuring 420,472.2 hectares from 159 legal entities. Finally, plasma obligations measuring 192,300.32 hectares from 106 legal entities. Furthermore, the leader of the Adhyaksa Corps stated that this handover of forest areas aims to realise the nation’s ideals, namely that natural wealth is utilised as much as possible for the interests of the wider community. In addition, he also appreciated the entire ranks of Satgas PKH for the dedication, hard work, and commitment shown in safeguarding forest sovereignty and saving Indonesia’s natural wealth from various forms of misuse and leakage that harm the state. “The achievements that have been accomplished are a real manifestation of the state’s presence in upholding the law and ensuring that the management of natural resources is carried out in an orderly, fair, and pro-national interest manner,” he said. When accumulated in the seventh phase, PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara has received the handover of forest area land from the reclamation by Satgas PKH measuring 4,120,915.75 hectares.
