The distribution of PKH BPNT social assistance for May 2026 has begun for beneficiary families (KPM) in several regions. Along with the commencement of the second phase of the 2026 disbursement, the government is also updating the data of social assistance recipients to ensure more targeted distribution.

Although the total number of social assistance recipients nationally remains the same, the list of recipients may change following the latest data update. Therefore, the public is advised to regularly check their assistance status through the website or the Cek Bansos application.

New recipients are added based on proposals and verification from villages, sub-districts, social services, and through the Kemensos’ Cek Bansos application. “A total of 475,821 new KPM who were proposed through villages/sub-districts/social services and the Cek Bansos application have been designated as recipients of social assistance for the second quarter,” wrote the official account of the Center for Data and Social Welfare Information (Pusdatin Kesos) @pusdatinkesos, Wednesday (6/5/2026).

Some recipients have been removed because their economic conditions are deemed to have improved, they have passed away, or they are registered as civil servants (ASN), members of the military (TNI), police (Polri), or members of the legislative body along with their families.

Currently, data updates are carried out routinely every 10th of each month and are immediately used as a reference for the distribution of social assistance. With the latest system, the process of data verification to the disbursement of PKH BPNT social assistance for May 2026 is faster compared to before. Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), there are 11,014 social assistance recipients who have been removed from the list of recipients. The government then replaced them with new KPM based on the latest verification results to ensure more targeted assistance. After that, the system will display information on social assistance recipients, ranging from the recipient’s name, type of assistance, disbursement status, to the distribution period.
