PKB's position

It's time now for the National Awakening Party (PKB) to act
proudly as a critical and constructive opposition party. Don't
bear grudges or harbor resentment, but develop a healthy
democracy in the country. The aim should not be to oust the
president without good cause but to democratically win the next
general election.

It isn't wrong to follow the traditions of democracy in
developed countries, i.e., by recognizing an official opposition
party. Therefore, at the moment the PKB should not battle for
ministerial or other positions. Just give all such positions to
the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle and its coalition
partners. Don't put forward the party as a power-hungry group.
Stick to the principle, "Be involved in or out the power", and
struggle together for the nation's glory.
