PKB's 28th Anniversary Adopts 'Prabowonomics' Theme, Cak Imin Says Inspired by President

The Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Muhaimin Iskandar, known as Cak Imin, has revealed the reason his party adopted the theme ‘Prabowonomics’ for its 28th anniversary celebration. According to him, the theme was inspired by President Prabowo Subianto’s spirit in steering a new direction for the national economy.

“The theme of PKB’s anniversary this time is Arah Baru Amanat Ekonomi Konstitusi (New Direction of the Economic Mandate of the Constitution). And this theme is abbreviated in one word: ‘Prabowonomics’,” said Cak Imin in his address at the PKB’s 28th anniversary celebration at the Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC), Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (23/7/2026).

According to Cak Imin, the theme is an expression of gratitude as well as PKB’s commitment to continue supporting the new direction of national economic development so that Indonesia becomes a self-reliant nation. Cak Imin went on to explain that the choice of theme was inspired by Prabowo.

“This theme is a form of gratitude and PKB’s sincerity in continuing to work together to carry the new direction of the national economy, so that we remain a strong and self-reliant nation based on our own strength,” he said.

“And all of us in PKB are inspired by the President’s spirit and determination to keep steering the new economic direction amid various challenges, both geopolitical and geoeconomic,” he continued.

Cak Imin also relayed one of Prabowo’s messages that he often hears regarding the importance of upholding the mandate of the constitution, particularly Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, which governs the national economy. According to Cak Imin, this message aligns with PKB’s commitment to restoring the economic rights of the people as the primary purpose of the state.

“The kiai and ulama often hear the President say: ‘Before sleeping, remember Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution. Upon waking, remember Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution’,” he said.

“This is the same as PKB’s hope and commitment that the main purpose of our state is none other than to restore the economic rights of the people so that prosperity can be achieved as quickly as possible,” Cak Imin added.
