PKB to Hold 28th Anniversary in Jakarta on 23 July, Invites President Prabowo

The National Awakening Party (PKB) will hold the peak celebration of its 28th Anniversary (Harlah) on 23 July 2026 in Jakarta. President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has been invited to attend the main event alongside leaders of political parties and national figures. Secretary of the Organising Committee (OC) for the 28th PKB Harlah, Rivqy Abdul Halim, stated that the series of anniversary events began in early July with various activities carrying the theme ‘New Direction, Constitutional Economic Mandate’. ‘Alhamdulillah, we have entered July. This is the first week of July, which we call PKB’s month. God willing, PKB turns 28 this month,’ said Rivqy at the DPP PKB office in Central Jakarta on Monday (6/7/2026). Rivqy explained that a day before the peak of the anniversary, on 22 July, PKB will simultaneously inaugurate the boards of 514 Branch Executive Councils (DPC) and 38 Regional Executive Councils (DPW) from across Indonesia. The inauguration will be led directly by the General Chair of the DPP PKB as part of the party’s leadership regeneration. On the morning of 23 July, PKB will also hold an Ijtima Ulama, bringing together kiai and Islamic boarding school caretakers from various regions, with the peak anniversary event scheduled for the evening. In addition to the organisational consolidation agenda, PKB has prepared several community-oriented activities. These include the handover of construction assistance for the Arus Kuala Traditional School in Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, a tree-planting movement dubbed the PKB Tree Party conducted simultaneously by party structures across regions, and a public discussion on artificial intelligence and religion targeting the participation of at least 10,000 Islamic boarding schools. PKB will also host a World Cup viewing event, a mini football tournament, and a PKB Run scheduled for 25-26 July in the Senayan area, Jakarta. According to Rivqy, this year’s theme was chosen to affirm PKB’s commitment to contributing ideas regarding the direction of national economic development. ‘PKB wants to participate in discussing future economic directions. We will carry this out through public discussions with relevant experts,’ he said. The official committee statement noted that the 28th anniversary serves as a momentum for PKB’s organisational transformation towards becoming a more modern, professional, and adaptive party through digitalised governance, strengthened cadre development, leadership regeneration, and capacity building across all party structures. PKB also reaffirmed its commitment to a politics of presence, sustainable development, and strengthening the people’s economy in accordance with the constitutional mandate.
