PKB Plays Friendly Football with PKS and Golkar Ahead of 28th Anniversary Peak

The National Awakening Party (PKB) played mini soccer with several political parties, including the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Golkar Party, and the Just and Prosperous People’s Party (Prima), ahead of the peak celebration of PKB’s 28th anniversary. “Today is a very joyful day. Besides brotherhood, friendship, and sports, today we commemorate PKB’s anniversary, welcoming 28 years of PKB,” said PKB General Chair Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, at Brilian Stadium, Jakarta, on Friday. Cak Imin admitted he was happy and satisfied, even though PKB lost all the matches played. “We were able to play friendly matches very well, even though we were unlucky. We lost to Golkar, lost to PKS,” he said. Meanwhile, he expressed hope that the politicians’ participation in the matches would encourage them to be enthusiastic about exercising. “We must maximise our time for sports. We must continue to promote this high sporting spirit in every aspect of life,” he said. He also expressed appreciation for Amputee Football, noting their perseverance and participation in international competitions, most recently in Turkey, calling them formidable players who have competed at the world level. The peak event of PKB’s 28th anniversary will be held in Jakarta on 23 July 2026. PKB has also invited President Prabowo Subianto to attend and deliver a speech at the event.
