PKB Invites Prabowo and Other Parties to Revise 108 Laws to Preserve Natural Resources
National Awakening Party (PKB) Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar stated that his party is fully committed to supporting President Prabowo Subianto in preserving the country’s natural resources. He explained that safeguarding natural resources is a crucial effort for Indonesia to uphold economic sovereignty amidst high dependence on global markets. ‘There are 108 laws that we will invite Prabowo and other parties to amend so that what we call economic sovereignty can be realised,’ Muhaimin said after the PKB’s 28th anniversary celebration at the Jakarta Convention Center on Thursday, 23 July 2026. He noted that the 108 laws include the Omnibus Law, as well as laws on Forestry, Mineral and Coal Mining, State Finance, and Agrarian Affairs. According to Muhaimin, these laws must be revised to achieve Indonesia’s economic sovereignty. ‘We cannot depend on any other country except our own,’ he said. He added that besides inviting Prabowo and other parties to revise the 108 laws, PKB also appreciates concrete solutions to support economic sovereignty policies. One such policy is the implementation of a single-door export policy for natural resources. This scheme is believed to be a key entry point in realising national economic independence and sovereignty. ‘We believe this is one of the main ways to begin upholding economic sovereignty in our beloved archipelago,’ said the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.
