PKB Deputy Chairman Daniel Johan hopes that the Domestic Worker Protection Bill (RUU PPRT) can be passed into law tomorrow. Daniel stated that the RUU PPRT has entered the final discussion stage.

“Thank you for President Prabowo’s attention; after 22 years, this bill has finally reached the final discussion stage. Finally, PKB’s prayers and struggles have been answered. After a long time, Cak Imin has always directly overseen it so that the RUU PPRT can be quickly passed into law,” said Daniel Johan to reporters on Monday (20/4/2026).

Daniel said the bill will provide legal certainty and guarantees for domestic workers. He mentioned that the bill also regulates vocational training from the central and regional governments.

“PKB is very focused on the RUU PPRT to provide legal certainty and guarantees for domestic workers. This bill also pays attention to ensuring that domestic workers receive vocational training from the central and regional governments,” he said.

PKB hopes the RUU PPRT will be passed during tomorrow’s DPR plenary session. Meanwhile, the Legislation Body (Baleg) is currently intensively discussing the Problem Inventory List (DIM) for the RUU PPRT.

“PKB hopes that tomorrow this bill can be passed into law during the plenary session,” he said.

Previously, the DPR RI Legislation Body had received 417 DIMs from the government regarding the RUU PPRT. After receiving those DIMs, the Baleg DPR then began level I discussions.

“Based on the recapitulation of the Problem Inventory List (DIM) from the government on the RUU PPRT, the total DIMs number 417, but don’t be surprised yet by these 417 DIMs; it turns out they consist of 290 DIMs for the main body and 127 explanations with details,” said Baleg DPR Chairman Bob Hasan during a working meeting with Manpower Minister Yassierli at the Baleg DPR, DPR RI, Senayan, Jakarta.

Bob then revealed the details of those DIMs, consisting of 204 fixed DIMs, 6 new substantive DIMs, 10 substantive change DIMs, 52 editorial change DIMs, and 18 deletion DIMs. Then, the explanation section consists of 54 fixed DIMs, 16 new substantive DIMs, 55 editorial DIMs, and 1 deletion DIM.
