PKB Faction of People's Consultative Assembly Provides Assistance to Orphans at Nuzulul Qur'an Commemoration
The PKB Faction of the People’s Consultative Assembly (F-PKB) held a Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration and orphan assistance programme at Selasar Nusantara V, MPR RI Building, Jakarta.
In his remarks, F-PKB Leader Neng Eem Marhamah Zulfa Hiz stated that Ramadan is a special month. One of the reasons is the revelation of the Qur’an during this month.
“The Qur’an is the primary source for Muslims in living their lives. Through the Qur’an, Muslims can distinguish what should be done and what is bad and should be avoided,” explained Neng Eem in a statement on Wednesday (11 March 2026).
“In this way, humans have a clear direction and path in living their lives in this world, and later will understand what kind of life is intended after the soul leaves our body,” he added.
Neng Eem further noted that in the current chaotic global situation, with many wars in various countries, it is very important for the Indonesian nation to continue strengthening itself by maintaining awareness of the importance of unity and integration.
According to Neng Eem, with stronger unity, we will become a great nation—a nation that can embrace and provide comfort for the ethnic groups within it, allowing each to grow strong together without becoming a threat to other nations.
On this occasion, Neng Eem emphasised that a great nation is one that is strong and becomes a pioneer of peace. Neng Eem noted that Indonesia’s constitution affirms respect for the independence and sovereignty of other nations.
“Therefore, we will become stronger as a nation by continuing to recognise the existence and sovereignty of other nations, rather than denying their existence,” said Neng Eem.
Similarly, Acting Secretary-General of MPR RI Siti Fauziah stated the importance of the Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration and orphan assistance in strengthening relationships between people.
“So that the unity and integration that we use as the foundation for our nation and state can truly be felt in our daily lives,” said Siti.
The event was attended by several members of the F-PKB MPR RI, preacher KH Yusuf Khudori, Acting Secretary-General Siti Fauziah, orphans, and UMKM entrepreneurs participating in a bazaar.
