PK supporters suck pacifiers

JAKARTA: No campaign has been attended by as many children
under five as that of Justice Party (PK) at Kebayoran soccer
field in South Jakarta on Wednesday.

Antara estimated their number at "thousands." Attending the
campaign site with their parents, the children ranged from babies
with pacifiers to those of kindergarten age.

The children wore party headbands and other accessories.
Campaign speeches were intermittently interrupted by hungry and
thirsty crying babies.

The presence of so many under-fives turned the campaign into
more of a family outing than a political rally. Many parents were
seen carrying more than one child.

Parents were quick to grab every inch of the shade, while an
area by the stage reserved for emergency purposes was turned into
an impromptu nursery.
