PK Rejected, MA Case Broker Dadan Tri Yudianto Still Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison
The Supreme Court (MA) has rejected the review (PK) filed by businessman Dadan Tri Yudianto in the bribery case related to case handling within the MA alongside former MA Secretary Hasbi Hasan. Dadan remains sentenced to eight years in prison.
The PK ruling for Dadan Tri Yudianto was issued on Friday (17/4/2026). This PK was registered under case number 892/PK/PID.SUS/2026, adjudicated by Chief Justice Suharto with members Ansori and Achmad Setyo Pudjoharsoyo.
“The operative part of the decision: reject the PK of the convicted,” as stated on the MA’s case registry website.
At the first-instance court, Dadan Tri was sentenced to five years in prison. This sentence was then increased by the High Court (PT) of DKI Jakarta to nine years in prison.
Unsatisfied, Dadan then filed a cassation. The MA reduced Dadan’s sentence to eight years in prison. Still unsatisfied, Dadan then filed a PK.
Dadan’s Charges
Previously, Dadan Tri Yudianto was charged with receiving bribes related to case handling at the MA. Dadan was charged with receiving bribes of Rp 11.2 billion alongside Hasbi Hasan.
“Has committed or participated in several acts that are so related that they must be regarded as one continuous act, receiving a gift or promise, namely has received a gift in the form of money totalling Rp 11,200,000,000 (Rp 11.2 billion) from Heryanto Tanaka,” said the KPK prosecutor when reading the charges at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday (31/10/2023).
The prosecutor stated that the bribe was received by Dadan from the debtor of Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Intidana/KSP ID, Heryanto Tanaka (HT). The bribe was allegedly given so that Budiman Gandi Suparman would be declared guilty in the cassation hearing of case number 326K/Pid/2022.
The prosecutor also mentioned that the bribe was given so that the bankruptcy case of KSP Intidana being processed at the MA could be decided according to Heryanto’s wishes. Dadan is said to have contacted Hasbi Hasan to handle the case. Dadan is said to have asked Hasbi to assist in handling the case so that the judge’s decision could align with Heryanto Tanaka’s wishes.
“The defendant Dadan Tri Yudianto together with Hasbi Hasan knew or should have suspected that the receipt of the gift or promise was intended so that Hasbi Hasan, as Secretary of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, would endeavour to handle the criminal cassation case Number 326K/Pid/2022 in the name of Budiman Gandi Suparman to be granted by the Supreme Court justices examining and adjudicating the case, and so that the bankruptcy case of Koperasi Simpan Pinjam (KSP) Intidana currently being processed at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia could be decided according to the wishes of Heryanto Tanaka,” said the prosecutor.
In short, the panel of judges adjudicating the cassation case number 362K/Pid/2022 declared Budiman guilty and sentenced him to five years in prison as desired by Heryanto.
