PJPK supports high school graduates obtaining certifications in fields of interest
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Population and Family Development (Kemendukbangga)/BKKBN, together with relevant ministries and agencies, is designing the Population Development Roadmap (PJPK) to create demographic stability and family resilience.
In the era of the demographic bonus, there are several population challenges that need to be addressed, one of which is the youth unemployment rate (ages 15-24) at 17 per cent based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2025.
βTo strengthen the quality of human resources, efforts will be promoted so that from high school onwards, adolescents can identify their interests and be directed to obtain certifications, enabling them to enter the workforce directly if they do not continue to university,β he said.
Wihaji stated that the population must also complete secondary and higher education to achieve global competitiveness.
In addition, through the PJPK, the prevalence of stunting is continuously targeted to be reduced below 10 per cent. This will automatically lead to demographic stability and family resilience.
The PJPK is a five-year operational planning document prepared by the government (central/regional) to guide population policies, family quality, and population mobility.
The PJPK also encourages the next generation to provide the best contributions to the nation and state, as well as realising a quality generation towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
Within the PJPK, Kemendukbangga/BKKBN has prepared a broad framework towards Advanced Indonesia 2045 with 30 indicators, including those related to improving population quality, maintaining quantity, and population distribution.
