We are referring to Mr. Chandramouli's letter in The Jakarta Post dated Nov. 18, 1995 entitled Prices go up, sizes go down.
First of all, on behalf of Pizza Hut management, we would like to thank him for his comments and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
As always, we review any customer's comments with great concern and full attention.
Our company management thrives on improving its standards and this can only be done through criticism.
Indeed we did change from a plate to a bowl for our salad bar in an effort to standardize our selling price. With the use of plates, customers would take more than they could eat which caused wastage and increased costs of the salad bar. We had a choice of whether to maintain the plate or to change to a bowl. We selected the latter for the customer's benefit to maintain our selling price.
With regard to the spoons and tongs, we have requested our restaurants use large spoons and stronger tongs.
We have requested our product development work on the Indonesian favorite. If you have any suggestions on favorite ingredients, we welcome them.
