PITI Chairman Serian Visits Dudung, Praises 24-Hour Public Complaint Service

The visionary step by the Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), retired General TNI Dudung Abdurachman, to operate a full 24-hour public complaint service has received appreciation. This includes from social observer figure and Chairman of the Indonesian Chinese Islamic Union (PITI), Dr Serian Wijatno. In his statement to the media after a courtesy visit with the former Army Chief of Staff in Jakarta, Serian assessed this breakthrough not merely as an administrative innovation, but as a tangible manifestation of the state’s presence in responding to the dynamics of citizens’ needs quickly and transparently. Serian, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Chinese Clan Social Association (PSMTI), regards this initiative as a “breath of fresh air” for Indonesian bureaucracy. According to him, this non-stop service will effectively reduce the communication distance between the people and policymakers. “We appreciate the courage and swift action of General Dudung. This demonstrates the KSP’s commitment to being the ‘ears’ for the people without time limits. This public communication transformation is crucial so that public aspirations are no longer hindered by rigid bureaucratic barriers,” he said to the media in Jakarta on Thursday (30/4/2026). Concluding his statement, Serian hopes that this complaint system will be supported by precise and measurable follow-up mechanisms.
