PINTU Records Surge in US Stock and ETF Tokenised Asset Transactions
Indonesian crypto investment platform PINTU has recorded significant growth in its tokenised US stocks category throughout the second quarter of 2026. The platform, licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), reported an 18 percent quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase in active traders for the category, alongside a 17 percent rise in transaction volume and an 11 percent increase in trading volume.
PINTU President Director Andy Putra stated that the broad-based growth across key indicators suggests that real-world asset (RWA) tokens, particularly tokenised US stocks, are increasingly becoming part of the diversification strategy for crypto investors and traders in Indonesia. “The 18 percent QoQ growth in active traders indicates an expanding investor base,” Andy said.
A standout finding for the quarter was the heightened interest in exchange-traded fund (ETF) instruments based on major US stock indices. The Nasdaq-100 ETF token, which tracks the index of approximately 100 non-financial US public companies, saw its trading volume surge by 115 percent QoQ, accompanied by a 196 percent jump in active traders. Similarly, the S&P 500 ETF token recorded a 74 percent increase in trading volume and a 160 percent rise in active traders. This influx of new investors into ETF tokens reflects a preference for diversified market exposure over single stocks.
PINTU first introduced tokenised US stock and ETF assets to its application in September 2025. Andy noted that the strong performance of index-based ETF tokens is a positive signal of increasing investor maturity. “Investors are no longer just chasing one popular name, but are starting to utilise tokenisation to gain more diversified exposure to the US stock market as a whole,” he explained. “Going forward, PINTU will continue to expand its selection of index-based tokenised instruments so that more Indonesian investors can access global asset diversification strategies with affordable capital.”
Beyond the ETF trend, individual tokenised US stocks also saw growth. The token for Apple shares (AAPLX) was one of the assets with the highest trading volume growth during the second quarter of 2026, more than doubling compared to the previous quarter.
