The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is piloting a land measurement service in 38 Land Offices (Kantah) to reduce the accumulation of land service files. The pilot implements a scheduled queuing system in the land measurement process. Director General of Land and Spatial Survey and Mapping (Dirjen SPPR) of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Virgo Eresta Jaya, stated that this step is part of the Ministry of ATR/BPN’s efforts to accelerate the resolution of land service files. “We do not want (the file issues) to recur again as per the Minister’s directive, so our regional colleagues have already transformed survey services by implementing scheduled queues. This pilot has been running in 38 Land Offices and the public response has been quite positive,” Virgo said, quoted from the Ministry of ATR/BPN’s website, Saturday (18/4/2026). The Scheduled Land Measurement Service is an effort to simplify the standard operating procedures (SOP) for measurements in first-time land registrations. From the applicant’s side, the public is asked to ensure that land boundaries are clear, to attend according to the chosen schedule, and to ensure the measurement location is in conducive conditions. “Because it is scheduled, the applicant chooses the schedule according to their preferred time,” Virgo explained. The 38 Land Offices implementing this service are spread across several regions, including the Regional Offices (Kanwil) of BPN in DKI Jakarta Province, Aceh, North Sumatra, South Sumatra, East Java, Central Java, Banten, and West Java provinces. In the future, the implementation of this service will be expanded gradually. Virgo Eresta Jaya mentioned that by May 2026, all Land Offices on Java Island are targeted to implement the Scheduled Land Measurement Service. Subsequently, in June 2026, the service is targeted to be applied in all Land Offices across Indonesia.
